St Columba's says goodbye to Brother Clement and Brother Dan, as they return to America after many years of service to the school.

After a total of 17 years in St Albans, Brother Dan is being recalled to a new assignment in the Deep South of the USA. Br Dan has been Dean of the College, and most recently also counsellor. Brother Clement retires to the USA once air travel permits, after 61 years at St Columba's in varying roles, including founder, Headmaster, Deputy Head and College Archivist. Last summer we celebrated Br Clement's 90th birthday, 70 years as a Brother of the Sacred Heart, 60 years of service to SCC, and 25 years as a tour guide and canon at the Abbey.

We are so grateful for your service to the College, and wish you all the best for the future! Brother Joseph Holthaus will replace Br Dan as College Dean in September. Br Joe is a former Provincial of the New York Province, former President of St Joseph’s and former Principal of McClancy HS.
