Recent Old Columban Stephen Turner C17, completes the Cadet Officer Commissioning process.

CCF School Instructor, SSI Patrick Burns says:
"I write this with a sense of pride as the photograph tells a poignant story for me and an example of the continuity that the CCF provides at St Columba's College.

When I arrived in September 2015, Stephen Turner was my first Cadet Regimental Sergeant Major and after completing his time at the College he commenced an engineering apprenticeship with the Ministry of Defence. Stephen has continued to assist the contingent and I am delighted to say that last week the Headmaster presented him with his 2nd Lieutenant rank slide as he successfully completed the Cadet Officer Commissioning process.

In the picture is his brother, Matthew, who leaves St Columba's this year having attained the rank of Cadet Regimental Sergeant Major. Both Stephen and Matthew have been enthusiastic members of the contingent and have grown as individuals by taking up all opportunities that the CCF offers to our cadets, including the Gold Duke of Edinburgh award."

Our many congratulations to Stephen, we look forward to seeing you progress in your career.
