''A warm welcome to St Columba's Connects, a complimentary members group for our alumni, former and current staff, parents and friends of St Columba's College. I, along with The Brothers of the Sacred Heart and my colleagues are committed to you in being able to continue to connect with one another, grow your own friendships and careers through this platform and together with our community after you have left the College. You are welcome to showcase your businesses via our business directory as well as your own achievements such as graduations, awards, births, marriages etc through our announcements page. I value your wealth of expertise and offers of careers advice, work experience, mentoring as well as philanthropy to support the continuous development of the College which, in turn, aids and improves the education of our current students. Your involvement and knowledge will add so much to their overall College experience.
Many students have passed through our doors and the stories I have heard are a true reflection of our College Charism where we strive to give our students a holistic education where religious values, personal attention and academic excellence are at the very core of a Columban education.
I look forward to meeting you at our many varied events throughout the year and hearing about your career journey and your experiences. You are always welcome back to St Columba's College for a tour at any time – please contact our Alumni Relations office and they will be only too delighted to hear from you. ''
One of great privileges in education is seeing a child develop through their childhood into young adulthood. We are blessed at SCC to welcome children aged 4, many of whom continue throughout the Prep, Senior and Sixth Form before departing for higher education. Having been at SCC since 2002 I have witnessed the growth of countless number of Columban students, many of which are now very happy and successful adults in the workforce and with families. It is a joy to see them return to the College and impart their wisdom and life stories. If you look at the Honours Boards section many of the students that hold Leadership positions in the Prep School often go on to achieve a similar position of responsibility in the Sixth Form. The Prep sets the foundations and the tone and we are fortunate to welcome several other pupils throughout the years to add new talents, skills and personalities.
